He is also the co-anchor of Metro TV’s groundbreaking weekly English-language program “Indonesia Now.” After the student meets program criteria and demonstrates need, an initial Rp. 5,000,000 cash award will be given, followed by monthly stipends of Rp. 1,000,000. This scholarship is provided for a student graduated from Senior High School in Lombok.
After an interview process was held in Lombok on August 11, 2007, a candidate named Larasati from Praya, Central Lombok was successfully selected to receive this scholarship. The scholarship was being administered by the non-profit Center for Civic Education (CCE) based in Jakarta.
Laras has been accepted in Yogyakarta State University (UNY) through a regional best student selection known by PBU (Pemilihan Bibit Unggul) in Lombok. Thus, the award ceremony of this scholarship was done in Karang Malang Campus of Yogyakarta State University, Rektorat Building 2nd Floor, on August 28, 2007.
